As the country fights against rising terrorism, four separate blasts struck Balochistan, killing five soldiers and injuring at least a dozen others, according to officials on Sunday. Three of the blasts occurred in Quetta, and one each occurred in Turtbat, Hub, and Kohlu district.

An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a “leading party” in Kohlu district’s Kahan area while an intelligence-based clearance operation, which has been in progress since December 24, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Five soldiers embraced martyrdom as a result, according to the military’s media wing: Captain Fahad, Lance Naik Imtiaz, Sepoy Asghar, Sepoy Mehran, and Sepoy Shamoon.

The incident was referred to by the ISPR as an “externally perpetrated threat of terrorism,” and it was asserted that “such cowardly acts by inimical elements cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.”

The media arm of the military declared that the security forces are still committed to thwarting their evil plans, “even at the price of blood and lives.”

An operation to sanitize the area was started to find the perpetrators after the incident, according to the ISPR.

Unidentified men then threw a grenade at a police checkpoint in Quetta’s Satellite Town this evening, injuring eight people—three officers and five bystanders, according to the police—police said.

A grenade blast across the Shaheed Ameer Dasti police station at Sabzal Road in Quetta injured four people hours prior to this incident, including a woman and a child.

According to law enforcement, there were reports of a second grenade at the blast site, which prompted the call for the bomb disposal squad.

Two hand grenades were thrown on the road, one of which exploded while the other was defused, according to the Quetta police.

The police stated that they were figuring out what kind of explosion it was. The law enforcement officials added that the injured were taken to the city’s Bolan Medical Complex Hospital.

The police reported that a blast occurred in the vicinity of Turbat’s Taleemi Chowk area earlier in the evening, but no casualties were reported.

Further investigations are being conducted, and the security forces have cordoned off the productive areas.

Three people were hurt in a second grenade explosion that occurred on the grounds of Hub’s Sadar Police Station, according to the police. The injured people, according to the rescue sources, were taken to the city’s civil hospital.

A hand grenade explosion at Saryab Road in Quetta’s Musa Colony marked the sixth attack. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the attack, according to police.

According to an ISPR statement, one soldier was killed and two others were injured in a shootout with terrorists this morning in Balochistan’s Zhob.

To “deny the terrorists’ use of a few suspected routes to move across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border to sneak into the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along the interprovincial boundary and target citizens and security forces,” an operation has been launched in Zhob.

The country of Balochistan was experiencing both Christmas and the 146th birthday celebrations of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
