Muhammad Jaffar Khan Leghari, a PTI MNA and former minister, passed away on Saturday at a Lahore hospital.
The 81-year-old politician won the NA-193 (Rajanpur-I) seat in the National Assembly in August 2018.
As a National Alliance candidate from the same constituency in the general election of 2002, he was first elected to the lower house of parliament. As a PML-Q candidate in the general election of 2008, he was re-elected to the National Assembly.
After rejoining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) last, he won the 2013 election for the NA seat. He left the PML-N in May 2018 and joined the Imran Khan-led party. Many social media users have expressed their sorrow over the senior politician’s passing.
